Clinical and Business Webinars

Offered throughout the year, our 1-hour webinars – four clinical and four business – help members and non-members dive deeper into new and emerging topics. With 30 minutes of Q&A afterwards, participants have the opportunity to interact with the speaker.

Clinical

ALCA offers Continuing Education Contact Hours for the four clinical webinars. In order to receive CE contact hours, the attendee must attend the live webinar presentation or review the entire recording.

CEs Available for Recorded Clinical Webinars

CEs are also available for clinical webinars (purchased through the Store – post event).* only applies to webinars sold through ALCA Store and before the CE expiration deadline. CEs are only available for a limited time and deadline will be posted on store product listing.

Attendees requesting a CE Certificate for the store product/recorded webinar must:

  • review entire webinar
  • submit signed affidavit as well as submit and successfully pass a post-test with a score of 80% or better

ALCA generally applies for CE contact hour(s) from NACCM, NASW, NYSED SW, CCMC, and the California Board of Registered Nursing. The Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider # 15884. Aging Life Care Association, SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0166. 

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING CE CERTIFICATES:

When registering for a CE- approved event, be sure to preorder your certificate. Preordered certificates are included in the registration fee and will be provided to you at the conclusion of the event. Replacement certificates will be available following the event at a cost of $25.00 each.

Business:

Building an Aging Life Care Business Level I Series

Are you planning to open your own Aging Life Care™ business? Learn from experienced practitioners and specialists on topics you need to know. ALCA offers a seven session comprehensive curriculum in a small-group format – limited to 20 participants.

Each participant is provided with copies of course outlines, PowerPoint presentations, and presenter handouts. All teleconference sessions are recorded. Audio recordings are also made available to all participants.

Member/Partner Forum

Join an in-depth conversation on a specific topic with others in the field. This event is held 3-6 times per year and is for ALCA Members and Partners only.

Friday Forum

Join ALCA's CEO and Board President for a free-flowing and informal quarterly conversation via Zoom! Subjects can include the Aging Life Care Management field, upcoming events, industry trends, and the future of the Association. We also have some monthly themes to help prompt any questions. Share your insight, get to know other ALCA members, partners, and leadership, and learn about the exciting plans ALCA has in store! This event is for ALCA Members and Partners only.

Aging Life Care™ Essentials - Clinical & Ethical

This intensive explores ALCA’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, while discussing the clinical issues that frequently arise in Aging Life Care practices. This is an interactive session using actual case histories to explore clinical approaches to meeting client needs and resolving common ethical challenges that arise within this process. Aging Life Care is not just a business -- it is shaping the lives of people for generations to come!

Suggested Audience: New Aging Life Care Managers and those wishing to enhance clinical skills.

Aging Life Care™ Essentials - Sales & Marketing

This intensive will further expand your abilities to reach out to other professionals who can refer business, creating a win-win situation for both parties. Enhancing your outreach skills will result in more satisfaction as well as more clients.

  • How can you leverage your expertise to underscore your value proposition?
  • How can you better understand your ever-changing targeted market?
  • While you have the training, experience, education, and knowledge to provide high-level, quality professional service, how do you ensure that a steady stream of clients will come in your door

As an Aging Life Care Professional, one assumes many roles in a successful practice, and the “rain-making” role often poses a unique challenge for the professional. In this interactive intensive, we will outline a process by which attendees will enhance skills to grow one’s business.

Join experienced colleagues for discussions on topics important to you and your practice. Dig deep into issues that affect all advanced professionals. Members in the room decide on the topics. Xtreme Mentoring

Got a question? Got a dilemma? Is it business, clinical, or ethical? We’ll cover them all in Xtreme Mentoring. We’ll take your topics. Make a list. Choose your subject matter. And then we begin! You’ll get connected with a panel of experts – ALCA’s most experienced Aging Life Care Professionals. You set the agenda and the pace! Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program

Our mentoring program provides one-on-one mentoring for members who are just starting their businesses. Matched with an experienced ALCA business owner, and meeting for a total of 4 hours over 2 months, mentees pay a small administration fee. Mentors recieve non-cash incentives.
