Care Manager Certification
ALCA does not offer Certification to its members; however, ALCA does recognize four certifications provided by three certifying bodies:
All ALCA members who aspire to be recognized as Advanced level members must hold at least one of the four certifications in addition to education and work experience requirements. (Certification, education, and experience requirements for membership have been approved by the ALCA Board of Directors and ratified by the Membership.)
Advanced Level Members have the opportunity be recognized as “Certified” in the Find an Aging Life Care Expert Search . Advanced Level Members and those who hold a Fellow designation also receive free access to live clinical webinars and recorded conference podcasts.
For additional resources on certification and re-certification requirements please visit our Certification Page . To inquire about specific application and process requirements, please contact each certifying body directly.
Continuing Education Contact Hours (CE Contact Hours)
ALCA applies for Continuing Education (CE) contact hours for the Annual Conference and Clinical Webinar Series from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM), Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and the California Board of Registered Nursing in order to assist our members in meeting the necessary continuing education requirements for re-certification.
