It is with great sadness but a profound sense of responsibility that we are postponing the 2020 ALCA National Conference. The work of our members and partners will take precedence over the coming weeks as your clients’ needs will be great. Please be patient as the staff is working on the many details – as soon as we have additional information we will share it with the membership.

I have a room booked at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress or other hotel, what should I do?

If you haven’t done so already, The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress will cancel all reservations in the conference block for April/May 2020. Any individual reservation deposits will be refunded within 14 business days after the reservation is cancelled.  Please note, there is a lag time between when they refund and your bank or credit card applies it. If for any reason you made a reservation outside the conference block, you will need to cancel your reservation with the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress asap by calling 1-877-803-7534. We will notify you when it is time to rebook your hotel room for the new dates.

I bought a plane ticket. Will you reimburse me?

Unfortunately, no. We cannot offer refunds for travel expenses. We recommend calling your airline as soon as possible to rebook your flight and/or cancel if necessary. We have drafted a letter you can provide to your airline to assist with receiving a refund.

I don’t know if I can come to the rescheduled conference. Can I get a registration refund?

We are hopeful that many people will be able to attend our rescheduled conference. Everyone currently registered for the conference will automatically be registered for the new dates. We understand this may not work for everyone. When registration re-opens for those who are unable to come we will provide a refund minus a $50 administration fee. For those who were not already registered for the April Conference, registration will re-open and new folks can register. We will send out that information in the next few weeks.

I am a sponsor. Will my sponsorship transfer over to the rescheduled dates?

Yes, your sponsorship will transfer to the new dates (August 20-23, 2020). Over the next few weeks staff will be working on logistics and will be in communication with you about those plans.

I am an exhibitor. Will my exhibit registration transfer over to the rescheduled dates?

Thank you for supporting ALCA! Yes, your exhibit space has been reserved and will transfer to the new conference dates (August 20-23, 2020). Over the next few weeks staff will be working on logistics and will be in communication with you about those plans.

I am a speaker or volunteer. How will you be sharing information about how the rescheduled conference impacts me?

Thank you for participating to make our conference great! The new conferences dates will be August 20 – 23, 2020. We will be reaching out to you to confirm if you are still able to participate. We will also be making an announcement to all current registrants, our listserv, on our website (www.aginglifecare.org), and on social media.
