The McPherson Fund Provides a Free Aging Life Care™ Management Assessment to elderly and/or disabled family members* of active military members, veterans, or veterans' elderly and/or disabled family members! (*Family members are limited to spouse, parent, or child)

The Florida Chapter of Aging Life Care Association® recognizes and supports our United States military. The Evelyn McPherson Foundation has provided a grant to provide Aging Life Care management to a most deserving population. A free assessment is available in areas in where an Aging Life Care™ is available for active military members, veterans and their family members; spouse, parent, or child.

For eligible military families, the McPherson Fund will provide up to 4 hours of an Aging Life Care Professional’s expertise -- providing recommendations and referrals for the most appropriate service that fits the specific needs of the Veteran or family member.

Here’s what an Aging Life Care™ Professional will do for you and your family.

Conduct a free comprehensive assessment to identify problems and to provide solutions.

Funding for this initial service has been provided by the Evelyn McPherson Foundation and managed by the Florida Chapter of the Aging Life Care Association®.

Other Services that may be provided at an additional cost:

  • Provide short or long-term Care Management assistance.
  • Screen, coordinate, and monitor in home help or other services.
  • Review financial, legal, or medical issues and offer referrals to appropriate specialists.
  • Crisis support.
  • Act as a liaison to families at a distance, overseeing care, and quickly alerting families to problems.
  • Provide consumer education, advocacy and support.

Cost containment—can avoid inappropriate placements, duplication of services, and unnecessary hospitalizations.
