Written by Aging Life Care Association members, these white papers and eBooks are available for members to use in their education and marketing efforts. ALCA members may download these PDF files to use on websites or print the files to share with potential clients and referral sources. ALCA Blog

Backed by the extensive knowledge and experience of the Aging Life Care Association® membership, the ALCA blog aims to be the "go-to" site for authoritative content on Aging Life Care™ and the most trusted source for decision making and planning. ALCA blog posts focus on the core of the Aging Life Care / care management profession and topics related to the eight core knowledge areas of Aging Life Care. Members are encouraged to use the ALCA blog in their marketing efforts. Members can download the RSS feed to imbed on their own websites. Members can also link to blog posts or use the content – with appropriate sourcing – for marketing and education. If you would like to contribute to the ALCA blog, please follow these submission guidelines.

ALCA Videos

During the 2015 ALCA Annual Conference, several members were asked to share examples or client experiences that illustrate the skills and valuable services of Aging Life Care Professionals. Members may use these videos in their own marketing and educational activities. You will find the videos in the ALCA Video Library and on the ALCA YouTube Channel.

Communities and Social Media

Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA) reaches members and beyond through active social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Via private discussions, social media give members another channel for networking and access to resources and referrals. At the same time, our public pages focus attention on the work of our members and give audiences a place to find professionals in their community.

ALCA Member Listserv

The ALCA Listserv offers access to immediately post questions and respond in a members-only environment. The Member Listserv is a quick and easy way to bounce ideas off of your colleagues, ask tough questions, refer, and get referrals. “Best of the Listserv” is featured in the Inside ALCA Magazine, log in to view past issues.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is used for professional networking and following business updates. LinkedIn is a great place to make professional connections with referral sources, such as elder law attorneys, accountants, bank trust officers, community groups, etc.

LinkedIn features thousands of interest “groups” – ranging from topical interests to specific company, school, and professional affiliations. ALCA opened its first group in 2009.

Facebook

Having a business page on Facebook is a great way to gain visibility in front of primary demographics that would be looking for an ALCM. Share photos, memories, events, and status updates on your business to help market your business.

Twitter

As the main place where journalists hang out, Twitter is an excellent source for breaking news, topical information, and networking with professional and businesses that interest you.

Pinterest

Like an ever evolving vision board, Pinterest allows users to save and share pictures and articles on “boards." Pinterest is a great resource for brainstorming, content curation, and browsing new ideas.

YouTube is a video sharing website where users can post videos from events, or ones they recorded themselves. YouTube is an excellent source for interviews from professionals on aging and other topics.
