ALCA is governed by a set of Bylaws approved by the association membership. The Strategic Plan lays out the objectives, responsibilities, and timeline for the work of the association; it is reviewed and updated on an annual basis by the Board of Directors.
Policies and procedures further describe the structure, operations, and responsibilities of the association. This set of documents is reviewed annually and updated as needed by the Staff and Board of Directors.
Members of ALCA are required to adhere to the standards of their respective professions, as well as to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics developed specifically for their practices in Aging Life Care™. These documents are reviewed, as needed, by the Standards Committee.
