Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program

There are many challenges for owners of small startup Aging Life Care practices. In this role you wear many hats and, no doubt, at times find yourself needing a “voice of experience” with whom to discuss certain aspects of your business – from marketing, to billing, to difficult clients, to websites and software.

When you’re looking for a knowledgeable, seasoned, Aging Life Care Professional to talk to one-on-one, consider taking advantage of ALCA’s Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program.

When you join this program, you will:

  • Access practical information provided by experts who have traveled the path you are on.
  • Learn new concepts and expand your knowledge base.
  • Work towards well-defined objectives for your business.

Recommended (but not required): Completion of ALCA’s “Building an Aging Life Care Business Series”

Interested in Finding a Mentor?

Here’s how it works:

  1. You fill out a Mentee Application Form, indicating areas in which you would like mentoring, and general information about where you are in the development of your business.
  2. ALCA then matches you with a Mentor who has experience and expertise in the areas you are interested in discussing.
  3. You have a 15-20 minute phone call with proposed mentor to learn a little more about one another and to see if this match is a good “fit.” Both parties have option of suggesting another match.
  4. Mentor is available by appointment for a total 2-4 hours per month for 2 months.
  5. At the end of the Program, you and your Mentor prepare a brief report to ALCA describing your experiences in the Program.
  6. At the end of the Program, you may choose to continue a relationship with the Mentor, but that relationship is determined and agreed upon by you and the Mentor. ALCA no longer oversees the relationship.

Fee:

ALCA charges an implementation fee of $75 for the 2-Month Program to cover administrative costs.
Mentors donate their time to the Program and receive no compensation.
