Based on her Bladders Matter-Helping People Speak Up! article in the Summer 2021 issue of the Journal of Aging Life Care™, Dr. Annemarie Dowling-Castronovo stimulated the interest of members in our New York region. Aging Life Care Managers® support aging adults and their caregivers – many of whom are part of the 33 million people in the United States suffering with urinary incontinence (UI). Participants will improve their ability to share evidence-based information about UI with their clients including key resources to share – and learn a tip or two for caring for their own bladder health.

Goal: To engage Aging Life Care Managers with evidence-based assessment and conservative management of urinary incontinence so that they will enhance the services they provide to clients.

List the objectives for your presentation in behavioral terms.

  1. Describe healthy bladder behavior skills for aging adults with urinary incontinence.
  2. List at least one resource for bladder health that you would provide to a client.
  3. Name one healthy bladder behavior skill YOU will start today
