The Southeast Chapter of the Aging Life Care Association™ (formerly
National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers) serves
clients on a fee-for-service basis throughout the Southeastern United
States (Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina
and Tennessee). Aging Life Care Professionals in this chapter consist of
qualified individuals who fulfill membership requirements and comply
with relevant state and professional licensing and certification
requirements on an individual basis. Southeastern Chapter Aging Life
Care Professionals:
- Have at minimum a degree in the field of human services (Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Nursing) or equivalent background
- May bring to their practices specialized knowledge in their
chosen fields ( for example home health or hospice, assisted living or
skilled nursing facilities, counseling, memory care, recreational
therapy, etc)
- Have a passion for improving the life of seniors and expertise
regarding the delivery, costs, quality and availability of services in
their local communities
- Are committed to guiding elders and families through the
transitions of aging and maintaining quality of life in a caring and
organized way
Knowing where to turn can have an enormous impact on improving the
independence and active living of the senior adult. To maximize health,
happiness and security, it is important to have professional support.

Call for Committee Chairs
The Committees of ALCA are delegated by the Strategic Objectives created by the Board of Directors. Inherent in that responsibility is to promote the Mission of ALCA, to focus on the professionalization of Aging Life Care™ / Care Management, to increase the education of our members, and to have member-driven collaborative input within the membership.
To that end, it is important that those who have expressed interest in joining a committee, be present and participate on conference calls regularly and come prepared with ideas and insight as to the focus of the committee agenda.
