Chapter Member of the Year Award: Doug Reuschel

The South Central Chapter is pleased to honor a member who has made a difference every year since becoming a member in 2006. They have served in the past as chapter president, unit coordinator and in 2016 as Houston Conference Chair. This member’s incredible efforts led to the 2016 conference being our most financially successful by 2 ½ times more than any previous conference. He now serves as the Vice-President of the Chapter and the Unit Liaison. With much appreciation for his outstanding efforts we honor Doug Reuschel.

South Central Chapter Board Goals

  1. Optimize chapter benefits and utilization by members
    1. Mentoring program
    2. Peer case conferences
    3. ALCA webinars
  2. Enhance member chapter experience
    1. Make contact with new members immediately to share benefits
    2. In 30-45 days make contact again and if no response, contact at 60 and 90 days post new membership
    3. President’s letter outlining member benefits with newsletter highlighting a new member
  3. Maintain, strengthen and grow chapter units
    1. Consider virtual unit for care managers farther away
    2. Increase level of unit leader communication with one another
  4. Enhance social media/technology/website/digital marketing
